How do I care for my jewellery?
Sterling silver and gold jewellery can be cleaned and polished using a jewellery polishing cloth. Whilst these materials are very durable, I do recommend taking them off prior to having a bath or shower, and also removing before swimming or applying lotions, makeup or perfume.
Don't be alarmed if your sterling silver piece develops a warm patina and/or darkens in areas over time. This is perfectly normal and is just the nature of the metal. If you'd like to restore it to its original shine, simply wipe with a soft 100% cotton cloth. The best and easiest way to clean your jewellery is with clear, unscented dish soap and a soft toothbrush.
Some items have an oxidised finish to them to help accentuate the design. Oxidisation is a treatment to sterling silver whereby it will blacken the surface it is applied to. It is temporary and with wear, the silver will start to show through. How fast this happens depends on the amount of contact that area gets with skin, chemicals, lotions etc. I am more than happy to re-oxidise the piece where applicable at no charge (shipping charges will still apply, please just get in touch to arrange this.
